The Hooters of America, Inc. are the franchisor and also an operator of over 455 Hooters restaurants in 43 states and 29 foreign countries. The Hooters international is a swimsuit competition that is directed in America each year. Columbus, OH Hooters girl LeAngela Davis was crowned Miss Hooters International 2010. Leangela Davis will beamingly represent Hooters for a period of a year. LeAngela got selected among 100 other Hooters Girl contestants. She won prize money of $50,000 and a crown.

This year was the 14th annual Hooters International Swimsuit Pageant that was held in Lauderdale, FL on July 10th . All the contestants had travelled from all over the world to represent the Hooters’ other 455 locations around 29 countries. They were judged on presence on stage, beauty, looks, smile and from bikinis to evening gowns. There was an impressive panel of judges from Chelsea Lately’s Chuy Bravoto former Hooters Girl, Jerri Manthey.

Also in the panel was rock musician Ryan Cabrera and former member of Pussycat Dolls, Ashley Roberts and E! Entertainment host Michael Yo. Broadcasted live by spike Tv, thes hosts for the evening was Dan Cortese and backstage co-host Carrie Keagan.

A cumulative score was given to the contestants from the Hooters photographers and a panel of 5 celebrity judges. They were selected from over 17,000 Hooters Girls by either advancing through local and regional contests or were selected by their management team to represent their market.

It was day when everybody won, but no one was more ecstatic than LeAngela Davis. A night that will change the future for this bubbly young woman. Among all the other awards the much coveted Miss Hooters World Award was given to Naty Gaviria representing Colombia.
