Outback Steakhouse in an effort to reach to families of U.S army, donated 1 million dollars towards the families. This was an amazing gesture from part of the steakhouse that is extremely popular as a restaurant. Not just in cash, Outback Steakhouse has also decided to provide a lot of moral support to the troops who are employed by the government as well as to their family members. This is an excellent way in which the restaurant has actually contributed to ensuring that families are being provided quite a lot when it comes to getting a lot of moral support. The donation was made through a non profit organization named Operation Homefront.

“The sacrifices that our troops and their families make so we can enjoy the freedoms we have in the United States is something Outback employees have recognized and appreciated since we opened our doors 22 years ago,” said Liz Smith, who is the CEO of OSI Restaurant Partners, parent company of Outback Steakhouse. “Our commitment to donate $1 million to Operation Homefront reflects our appreciation to those who give so much.”

In order to spread out the cause to more and more people all across the country, Outback Steakhouse has decided to team up with Tim McGraw during his Southern Voice concert. Once this concert is held, all the proceeds collecting from it will also be provided to further the cause of Operation Homefront.

“As a retired member of the U.S. military and on behalf of our troops serving in locations far and wide, I’d like to thank Outback Steakhouse for its support over the years,” mentioned General Tommy Franks (Ret.).  “This support, coupled with the current effort to help our active and retired servicemen, women and their families, is greatly appreciated.”

This is an amazing support being provided by the NGO to support U.S. troops and their families.
