Nissan – One of the Leading Automobile Company

Nissan is a leading automobile company that sells its trucks and cars throughout the world, and the largest car producer. It was founded in the year 1932 and is set up in Japan. It got its name ‘Nissan’ from the Tokyo stock market called ‘Nippon Sangyo’.  They started by building engines and then trucks and airplanes for the Japanese military. In the year 1993 Nissan got into partnership with ford motors which were later discontinued in the year 2002.

Nissan comprises of a large range of cars which are being manufactured and exported since the year 1950. Nissan and Renault has plans of producing electric cars from 2012 ‘Nissan Motor Ltd’ desires to earn profit from the hybrids vehicles of the next generation which will be launched in the year 2010. Last April the company began a joint partnership with ‘NEC Corporation’ and ‘NEC TOKIN Corporation’, to develop and produce batteries of lithium-ion. Nissan has a number of cars which have been very famous among consumers such as Nissan x-trail and Teana.

Nissan got into a partnership with a European company so that they could access the engine and automobile designs. Nissan later chose Austin from the United Kingdom, which became the ‘British Motor Corporation’ on its merger with Morris. Later, in the 1952 Nissan Motors of Japan signed a legal document agreement with Austin for Nissan to assemble and put them on sale in Japan under the trademark of Austin. Nissan marketed Austin’s for seven years. According to the agreement, Nissan was given the rights to use the patents of Austin, which Nissan had used to make its own engines for the Datsun range of cars. In the year 1966, Nissan got into a merger with the ‘Prince Motor Company’, bringing more cars in the market that included the Gloria and the Skyline.
