Bounty, which works under the Procter and Gamble Company in efforts to volunteer towards the betterment of the society that we live in, in some small way at least- has included ten cities around the country in the new project that they are a part of. The project that this concerns is being called the “Make a Clean Difference” initiative, where their main efforts are towards improving the educational facilities as well as the standards in public schools across the country. There are thirty such public schools that have been included in this initiative, around ten different cities in the country.

So it was on 4th June recently, which incidentally also became a part of the National Volunteer Week that Bounty visited the Kingsley elementary School in Los Angeles. However, Bounty was not working alone, as the husband and wife duo of Peter Facinelli and Jennie Garth also took part in the campaign and in fact they were playing the role of leaders among the other local volunteers who were also helping out with this initiative. The other local volunteers who were working with Bounty and Facinelli and Garth were from the Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation and HandsOn Network; everybody chipped in that day at the Kingsley elementary school to improve the learning environment and overall to “make a clean difference” in their wake.

The whole initiative is actually a part of the request that had been made by President Obama recently, to all listening Americans, that everybody should try their very best to give back something to the society and the community around them. Therefore, this program of the “Make a Clean Difference” initiative is something that Bounty has begun and they have already teamed up with over thousand volunteers from all around the country to work on their task at hand- improving the learning environment of the public schools in the country. At the moment however they are starting off with thirty such public schools.

This visit to the Kingsley Elementary School in Los Angeles had been one of the stops that they made, as a part of the National Volunteer Week.
