China has worked really hard to create the right good impression for the rest of the world as it hosts the 2010 Shanghai Expo which is all set to be the largest and most expensive Expo that the world has ever seen.

As it appears, the country has not just spent all that money on the main Expo event or the area where it is being held, there has been a lot put in to make Shanghai as a city more appealing and more beautiful for visitors and all the filming. About forty five billion dollars was supposedly spent in doing up the entire infrastructure of the city which included building new parks and bridges and beautifying the existing ones; new roads have also been built in the city.

Incredible India : the official tourism website

Posted on 23:51, December 4th, 2008 by Editor1

Titled “Incredible India“, this is “the official tourism website” of Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. This is a self-sufficient website where tours can be planned and booked.

It gives out holiday ideas that cover deserts, beaches, pilgrimages, heritage and royal spots, wildlife, and mountains of India . The site also provides one with train routes, wellness options, and guidelines on eco-tourism.

Design

The design of the site is such that anybody unaware of the website’s name would instantly know, at the first glance, that it is a site on India . It is extremely bright and colorful and conveys a “feel good” factor the moment one opens it. The traditional Indian colors like red, maroon, orange and yellow greet one with cheer. The home page has changing pictures that give one glimpses of the Royal Bengal Tiger, the Taj Mahal, the Royal Palaces of Rajasthan, the Rajasthani locals on camels, the Himalayas and the beautiful Kashmir lakes.

The home page has numerous sections and sub-sections that can lead one to relevant web pages. The sections have clearly defined titles and are arranged in an organized manner.

Taj Group of Hotels are one of the most ancient hotel chains of India. Jamshedji Nusserwanji Tata has opened Taj’s first hotel in 1903. Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces comprises of 57 hotels in 40 locations across India with an additional 18 international locations.

Tajhotels.com is the website of the Taj groups of hotel. My first impression of the website was not very good. The images and the color combination of the site are not very attractive. Background of the home page is white and the border is also light in color. The font and color of the headings and tabs are also kept very light.
