The Railway Revolution in India

Posted on 05:18, January 23rd, 2009 by Editor

www.indianrail.gov.in happens to be a great site in order to track down all the trains running in India. It must be remembered that India has the second largest railway network in the world and to capture all the information of all the trains running on this exhaustive network is certainly no less than a herculean task. The site offers a lot of facilities in terms of booking, checking the PNR status as well as getting the fare information accurately. If you ticket status is “waiting” then you would like to know the current status of the reservation and the site allows you to do that within minutes.

Before making a reservation, you can check out the availability in addition to the special trains and discounts if any. A majority of Indians use the www.indianrail.gov.in site to check the PNR status. The breakdown on the website is pretty simple and developed in a fashion that any Indian can access it and obtain the necessary information. In such a populated country it becomes extremely difficult to manage things offline and hence the government is encouraging the citizens to use such facilities.

Design

The welcome page of Emirates.com is so colourful and picturesque with a picture of a plane dashing through the skies. The web page is a beauty in itself and attracts any visitor. Down below the logo, the four boxes highlight North and South America, Europe, Middle East and Asia regions.  The global website takes one to the global page, which is as attractive as the welcome page. Three beautiful women with a smiling face greets one here. With a combination of colours and pictures, the Emirates.com maintains all professionalism. The portal is so splendid and impressive.

Kingfisher Airlines is a private airline based in Bangalore, India. It is a very new company in an aviation sector. It has started its operation in May, 2005.

Flykingfisher.com is the official website of the kingfisher airlines. Colors and pattern of the website is very attractive. The designer has used many vibrant colors for this website. It has a red background with white, blue, orange, and bright yellow colors in it for the headings, tabs and others. Kingfisher airlines logo is present in every web pages of the website.

If we see on navigation part, it is also made very easy to follow. The main tabs like Buy Tickets, My bookings and others are given in a big font so that it is easy to locate. I also found this website to be pretty fast.
