A commitment by TIMBERLAND to plant 5 million trees in the next 5 years is aimed at solving the critical issues in the high risk environments. Timberland is a global leader in the design, engineering, & marketing of premium-quality footwear, apparel, & accessories for consumers who value the outdoors & their time in it. Through this move Timberland Company believes to reduce hunger, protect wildlife, create jobs, and preserve an environment. This target seems to be a very bold pledge having a very bold vision. Planting trees surely does a world of good to our environment so this move for a better tomorrow by Timberland is to be appreciated which would be a great support to the current efforts for global reforestation which has been carried out for the past 10 years.
It is clearly known that if food waste is used for landfills, under anaerobic (without oxygen) conditions produces methane which is supposed to be 21 times more dangerous than carbon dioxide. Methane is said to be very harmful and contributes to further depletion of the Ozone layer which results in increase in the temperatures. This highly contributes towards global warming and researchers suggest that if we can get rid of the 50% of the total food waste we could actually reduce its impact on environment by about 25% Saving energy is the need of the day. NYSERDA has setup a new web program to take initiative in taking people’s opinions. The worldwide fossil energy resources are going dry and depleting. All the people are being included in the awareness programs for saving energy. The government all over the world is promoting saving energy schemes, ways and means. Let everyone enter the contests from NY, and create awareness on saving energy for tomorrow. Excess burning of energy creates polluted atmosphere and bad breath causing health problems. Become pollution conscious and reduce yourself and convince other to do it too. Oct
